In times of global A.I., we wanted to counter this artificial world of thought and its infinite number of cold paths paved with algorithms with something. Something that is not synthetic, but ostentatiously organic. Something human. Human Ideas. Smart, silly, new, rethought old, funny, serious, great, entertaining, lively and lasting ideas.
That's why we founded Human Ideas.
Under this name, we produce films and series that deal with all-too-human themes. About our human world, in which our ideas encounter emotions, unite with them and, in the city called Film-Series, sometimes live in the Drama district, then sublet in Thriller and have already laid the foundations for a family home in Comedy. In this city full of ideas, there are an infinite number of streets that don't yet have names. And isn't it the most human of all ideas to first build something and then give it a name? Be curious or even become part of this city yourself.

Laura Harwarth
Laura studied film and television production at the Hochschule für Medien und Kommunikation in Cologne. After graduating, she worked as a production assistant on various documentary and feature film projects and then also worked as a production manager. In 2015, she produced the KHM graduation film “TORO”, for which she also wrote the screenplay and which premiered at the Hof International Film Festival. “TORO” then screened at numerous national and international film festivals, as well as a special contribution at the Berlinale, Perspektive Deutsches Kino section.
In co-production with ZDF - Das kleine Fernsehspiel, Laura developed the revenge drama “FUTURE IS A LONELY PLACE”, which also marked her directorial debut in 2020. The film premiered at the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival and also screened at various national and international film festivals. Laura is an alumni of the Mediengründerzentrum NRW and founded the independent film production company HUMAN IDEAS together with Volkan in 2024.

Volkan Isbert
Immediately after graduating from high school, Volkan trained as an actor and has been working professionally in front of the camera for more than a decade now. At the same time, he studied German and Philosophy at the Ruhr University Bochum and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2019.
In recent years, he has conceived and written various films and series, including a sports comedy for the ZDF main program, and has also worked in various writers' rooms. In 2024, he founded Human Ideas together with Laura and has also worked as a producer ever since.
